Jacques Pelser LPCC-S, LICDCJacques is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with supervisory designation as well as a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor. He earned his Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Malone University. Jacques has worked in the mental health and addictions field for over a decade. The populations Jacques has served include: children, adolescent and adult addictions, adults with severe mental illness, group counseling, and school-based mental health treatment. Jacques utilizes a multi-modal approach that is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, difficulty adjusting to life stressors, addictions, anger management, and couple's issues, marriage and family systems, and multicultural issues.
Jacques' unique life experience of growing up in South Africa allows him to have intimate knowledge of acculturation challenges for immigrants. He is fluent in two languages and still enjoys watching rugby. Jacques is married to Joan and they have a son and a daughter. They enjoy playing board games and going tent camping together. Jacques believes to take life as it comes, and to utilize thoughts and actions to make necessary changes for a fulfilling life. Jacques currently works with 11 years old and older individuals, families, and couples. |
Abigail Harding MA, LPCC-SAbigail is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor (LPCC-S) who earned her Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from The University of Akron. Abigail has worked with youth and their families in school-based mental health for 13 years. For the last 2 years, Abigail has been working in private practice. Abigail works from a collaborative and strengths-based approach, assisting and supporting clients to be the author of their own lives. She has experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, disruptive behaviors, relationship challenges, self-esteem issues and trauma.
Abigail believes that each person has their own story that has shaped what they are currently experiencing. Through her work, she strives to foster a safe space where people can tell their story, gain insight into how their experiences have impacted them, and create a new reality that is more fulfilling. Abigail utilizes various therapeutic approaches including cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, family therapy, EMDR, Brainspotting as well as solution-focused and mindfulness-based interventions. Abigail is married to her loving and supportive husband, Adam, and she has three wonderful children. She enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. Abigail currently works with 11 years old and older individuals, families, and couples. |
Childhood Counselors
Kara Kaelber Ph.D., LPCC-SKara is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, with Supervisory Status (LPCC-S). She has several years of experience working as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor in a mental health agency, in schools, in a Christian private practice, and in church settings. Dr. Kaelber has provided counseling services for clients within the age range of 14 months to 85 years.
Dr. Kaelber’s focus areas are trauma, depression, anxiety, women’s issues, grief and loss, spiritual issues, and concerns related to transitions, adjustments, relationships, divorce, and parenting. Dr. Kaelber recognizes the value of tailoring counseling to meet the needs and interests of each client. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as a foundational approach, with the integration of other therapies and interventions. In her work with children and adolescents, she also uses such interventions as therapeutic play, sand tray, art activities, music techniques, and stress-reducing exercises. Kara currently works with 18 months to 11 years old and families. |
Stephanie Taylor, MA LPCC-SStephanie is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, with Supervisory Status (LPCC-S). After receiving her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Malone University, she has spent the duration of her career working with children in a variety of settings, including the office, schools, and in the community.
Stephanie has several specialized areas of focus, including support for children on the Autism Spectrum, and children who struggle with behavioral and emotional regulation. She has worked extensively with children who have experienced trauma, and those who struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and difficult life situations. Stephanie's approach to treatment is highly person-centered, focusing on the unique needs of the individual in order to ensure the client's voice is being heard so their needs can be met effectively. She is trained in EMDR and ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy), which are highly effective in working through trauma and day-to-day stressors. Additionally, Stephanie utilizes creative approaches to therapy, involving play, art, and mindful movement. Stephanie currently works with parent/guardians with newborn infants through 11 years old. The treatment approach will include coordination and planning with the child's caregivers to create a holistic treatment approach. |
